(upbeat music) - Hello everyone, welcome back to EnglishPod.
موسیقی شاد؛ سلام به همه، به EnglishPod خوش برگشتید.
My name is Marco.
اسم من مارکو است.
And I'm Erica.
و من اریکا هستم.
And today we're bringing you another great advanced lesson for all those advanced users out there.
و امروز یک درس پیشرفته عالی دیگر برای همه کاربران پیشرفته‌مان آورده‌ایم.
That's right.
درست است.
This is a really, really useful lesson for all of our advanced users.
این یک درس واقعاً خیلی مفید برای همه کاربران پیشرفته ماست.
Exactly, you asked for a lesson about job interviews and well, here we are.
دقیقاً، شما درسی درباره مصاحبه‌های شغلی خواسته بودید و خب، حالا اینجاییم.
We're bringing you the first of three parts of the job interview series.
قسمت اول از مجموعه سه‌قسمتی مصاحبه شغلی را برایتان آورده‌ایم.
All right, so Marco, you said it is the first of three parts.
خیلی خب، مارکو، گفتی این اولین قسمت از سه قسمت است.
So tell me, what are these three parts?
پس بگو این سه قسمت چه هستند؟
Okay, in this lesson, we're gonna be looking at preparing for a job interview.
خب، در این درس قرار است به آمادگی برای مصاحبه شغلی نگاه کنیم.
Okay.
باشه.
So everything you gotta do before the job interview.
پس هر کاری که باید قبل از مصاحبه شغلی انجام دهید.
Part two will be talking about your education, your background, your work experience.
قسمت دوم درباره تحصیلات، پیشینه و تجربه کاری‌تان خواهد بود.
Okay.
باشه.
And in part three, we'll take a look at some of the common questions that are asked at a job interview.
و در قسمت سوم، به چند سؤال رایج که در مصاحبه شغلی پرسیده می‌شود نگاهی می‌اندازیم.
And so we'll talk about some great ways to answer these questions.
و درباره چند روش عالی برای پاسخ دادن به این سؤال‌ها صحبت می‌کنیم.
Exactly.
دقیقاً.
All right, these three lessons will be coming out over the next month or so.
خیلی خب، این سه درس در حدود ماه آینده منتشر می‌شوند.
Exactly.
دقیقاً.
So we're gonna be looking at part one today.
پس امروز قرار است قسمت اول را بررسی کنیم.
So let's take a look at some vocabulary preview.
بیایید به این بخش نگاه کنیم.
Vocabulary preview.
پیش‌نمایش واژگان.
Well, we have three words here in vocabulary preview that you'll hear in the dialogue in a moment.
خب، در پیش‌نمایش واژگان سه کلمه داریم که تا چند لحظه دیگر در گفت‌وگو خواهید شنید.
And the first one is actually not really a word, but an acronym.
و اولین مورد در واقع واقعاً کلمه نیست، بلکه یک سرواژه است.
Right, CRM.
درست است، CRM.
CRM.
CRM.
CRM.
CRM.
So Marco, you are our marketing guy.
پس مارکو، تو مسئول بازاریابی ما هستی.
Tell us, what is a CRM?
به ما بگو CRM چیست؟
Well, it's really common in marketing.
خب، در بازاریابی خیلی رایج است.
It stands for customer relationship management.
اینجا custom یعنی چیزی که متناسب با نیاز مشتری یا سازمان ساخته شده است.
Okay.
باشه.
Or customer relation management.
اینجا custom یعنی چیزی که متناسب با نیاز مشتری یا سازمان ساخته شده است.
But basically it's the relationship that the company has with its customers.
اینجا custom یعنی چیزی که متناسب با نیاز مشتری یا سازمان ساخته شده است.
Okay.
باشه.
So CRM basically has parts like feedback or customer support, problems that they might have, and also information about habits and likes and dislikes from their customers or users.
پس CRM اساساً بخش‌هایی مثل بازخورد یا پشتیبانی مشتری، مشکلات احتمالی آن‌ها، و همچنین اطلاعاتی درباره عادت‌ها و علاقه‌ها و نارضایتی‌های مشتریان یا کاربرانشان دارد.
Okay, but I commonly hear this word used as a noun.
باشه، اما من معمولاً می‌شنوم این کلمه به عنوان اسم استفاده می‌شود.
So something like, can you check in the CRM?
مثلاً: می‌توانی در CRM بررسی کنی؟
Right, there is some software out there that's called the CRM.
درست است، نرم‌افزارهایی وجود دارند که به آن‌ها CRM می‌گویند.
So SugarCRM, or many different softwares, which basically manages your database of customers.
مثلاً SugarCRM یا نرم‌افزارهای مختلف دیگر که اساساً پایگاه داده مشتریان شما را مدیریت می‌کنند.
Basically software that engloves this whole thing.
اساساً نرم‌افزاری که کل این موضوع را در بر می‌گیرد.
Okay, got it.
باشه، فهمیدم.
All right, our next phrase in vocabulary preview.
خیلی خب، عبارت بعدی ما در پیش‌نمایش واژگان.
Custom designed.
سفارشی‌طراحی‌شده.
Custom designed.
سفارشی‌طراحی‌شده.
Custom designed.
سفارشی‌طراحی‌شده.
Custom designed.
سفارشی‌طراحی‌شده.
So when something is custom designed.
اینجا custom یعنی چیزی که متناسب با نیاز مشتری یا سازمان ساخته شده است.
It means it's a special design just for you.
یعنی طراحی ویژه فقط برای شماست.
So it's unique.
پس منحصربه‌فرد است.
Right, that's what the word custom means.
اینجا custom یعنی چیزی که متناسب با نیاز مشتری یا سازمان ساخته شده است.
Unique, like made especially for one person.
منحصربه‌فرد، یعنی مخصوصاً برای یک نفر ساخته شده.
Right, so you have custom designed or also custom made.
اینجا custom یعنی چیزی که متناسب با نیاز مشتری یا سازمان ساخته شده است.
You see that a lot, for example, in cars, right?
این را زیاد می‌بینید، مثلاً در خودروها، درست است؟
A custom made car.
اینجا custom یعنی چیزی که متناسب با نیاز مشتری یا سازمان ساخته شده است.
Yes, or maybe a custom built house.
اینجا custom یعنی چیزی که متناسب با نیاز مشتری یا سازمان ساخته شده است.
A custom built house with your specific likes and dislikes.
اینجا custom یعنی چیزی که متناسب با نیاز مشتری یا سازمان ساخته شده است.
Yeah, your requirements, yeah.
بله، نیازهای شما، بله.
Okay, and our last word, core values.
باشه، و آخرین کلمه ما، core values.
Core values.
ارزش‌های اصلی.
Core values.
ارزش‌های اصلی.
Core values.
ارزش‌های اصلی.
So the core values of a company.
پس ارزش‌های اصلی یک شرکت.
What does the core mean actually?
core در واقع یعنی چه؟
The center.
مرکز.
The center, right?
مرکز، درست است؟
Yeah, so and here I think it's like the center or the most important.
بله، و اینجا فکر می‌کنم یعنی مرکز یا مهم‌ترین بخش.
The most important things the company believes in, right?
مهم‌ترین چیزهایی که شرکت به آن‌ها باور دارد، درست است؟
Right, so maybe respect for the environment.
درست است، مثلاً احترام به محیط زیست.
Okay, or developing their employees.
باشه، یا توسعه کارکنانشان.
Okay, so the core values.
باشه، پس ارزش‌های اصلی.
Yeah.
بله.
The main things that the company believes in.
چیزهای اصلی‌ای که شرکت به آن‌ها باور دارد.
A great phrase for job interviews.
عبارتی عالی برای مصاحبه‌های شغلی.
Oh yes, very good phrase.
اوه بله، عبارت خیلی خوبی است.
Okay, so why don't we listen to our dialogue.
باشه، پس چرا به گفت‌وگو گوش نکنیم؟
Erica, what exactly is happening?
اریکا، دقیقاً چه اتفاقی می‌افتد؟
All right, we're gonna be listening to two friends.
خیلی خب، قرار است به دو دوست گوش کنیم.
And this guy is getting ready to go on a job interview.
و این مرد دارد آماده می‌شود به یک مصاحبه شغلی برود.
So his friend is helping him to prepare.
پس دوستش به او کمک می‌کند آماده شود.
Okay.
باشه.
(upbeat music) - Okay, so let's go over everything one more time.
(موسیقی شاد) خب، بیایید یک بار دیگر همه چیز را مرور کنیم.
I really want you to get this job.
واقعاً می‌خواهم تو این شغل را بگیری.
I know, it's an amazing growth opportunity.
می‌دانم، این یک فرصت رشد فوق‌العاده است.
They're true industry leaders and it would be so interesting to be part of an organization that is the undisputed leader in business process platform development.
آن‌ها رهبران واقعی صنعت هستند و خیلی جالب خواهد بود که بخشی از سازمانی باشم که رهبر بی‌چون‌وچرای توسعه پلتفرم فرایندهای کسب‌وکار است.
So let's see, you did your research on the company, right?
خب، بگذار ببینیم، درباره شرکت تحقیق کردی، درست است؟
Well, I visited the website and read up on what they do.
خب، به وب‌سایتشان سر زدم و درباره کاری که انجام می‌دهند مطالعه کردم.
They're an IT service company that offers comprehensive business solutions for large corporations.
آن‌ها یک شرکت خدمات فناوری اطلاعات هستند که راهکارهای جامع کسب‌وکار برای شرکت‌های بزرگ ارائه می‌دهد.
They provide services such as CRM development and they also offer custom design applications.
آن‌ها خدماتی مثل توسعه CRM ارائه می‌دهند و همچنین برنامه‌های سفارشی‌طراحی‌شده عرضه می‌کنند.
So what would be your role in the company?
پس نقش تو در شرکت چه خواهد بود؟
Well, the position is for an account manager.
خب، این موقعیت برای مدیر حساب است.
That basically means that I would be the link between our clients and our development team.
این اساساً یعنی من رابط بین مشتریانمان و تیم توسعه‌مان خواهم بود.
Sounds good.
خوب به نظر می‌رسد.
And so why do you wanna work with them?
پس چرا می‌خواهی با آن‌ها کار کنی؟
Well, as I said, they're the industry leaders.
خب، همان‌طور که گفتم، آن‌ها رهبران صنعت هستند.
They have a really great growth strategy, amazing development opportunities for employees.
آن‌ها راهبرد رشد واقعاً خوبی دارند و فرصت‌های توسعه فوق‌العاده‌ای برای کارکنان فراهم می‌کنند.
And it seems like they have a strong corporate governance.
و به نظر می‌رسد حاکمیت شرکتی قوی‌ای دارند.
They're all about helping companies grow and unleashing potential.
تمام تمرکزشان کمک به رشد شرکت‌ها و آزاد کردن ظرفیت‌های بالقوه است.
I guess their core values and mission really resonated with me.
فکر می‌کنم ارزش‌های اصلی و مأموریتشان واقعاً با من همخوانی داشت.
Oh, and they offer six weeks vacation, stock options, and bonuses.
اوه، و شش هفته مرخصی، اختیار خرید سهام و پاداش هم می‌دهند.
I'm totally gonna cash in on that.
قطعاً از این‌ها نهایت استفاده را می‌کنم.
You idiot, you don't say that.
احمق، این را نمی‌گویی.
Do you want this job or not?
این شغل را می‌خواهی یا نه؟
All right, so he was doing great, but in the end, he said something he shouldn't, right?
خیلی خب، پس کارش عالی بود، اما در پایان چیزی گفت که نباید می‌گفت، درست است؟
Yeah, I don't think talking about money as your primary motivation for coming onto a new company is really the way to go.
بله، فکر نمی‌کنم صحبت کردن درباره پول به عنوان انگیزه اصلی‌ات برای آمدن به یک شرکت جدید، روش درستی باشد.
Yeah, and we're gonna talk about that a little bit later, but let's take a look real quick at some language takeaway.
بیایید به این بخش نگاه کنیم.
Language takeaway.
Language takeaway.
All right, in this lesson, we have five key words for you from the dialogue, which we hope that you will remember.
خیلی خب، در این درس پنج واژه کلیدی از گفت‌وگو برایتان داریم که امیدواریم آن‌ها را به خاطر بسپارید.
Let's take a look at the first one, undisputed.
بیایید به این بخش نگاه کنیم.
Undisputed.
بی‌چون‌وچرا؛ چیزی که مورد تردید نیست.
Undisputed.
بی‌چون‌وچرا؛ چیزی که مورد تردید نیست.
Undisputed.
بی‌چون‌وچرا؛ چیزی که مورد تردید نیست.
So this is kind of a strange word.
پس این کلمه کمی عجیب است.
Let's listen to some examples before we explain it.
حالا به دیالوگ گوش می‌دهیم.
Example one.
مثال یک.
It's undisputed that she's the best person for the job.
بی‌تردید او بهترین فرد برای این شغل است.
Example two.
مثال دو.
The undisputed truth is that unemployment is rising.
حقیقت بی‌چون‌وچرا این است که بیکاری در حال افزایش است.
No one doubts that.
هیچ‌کس در این شک ندارد.
Example three.
مثال سه.
Is the undisputed champion of the world.
قهرمان بی‌چون‌وچرای جهان است.
Well, I can understand from these examples that it means there is no doubt.
خب، از این مثال‌ها می‌فهمم که یعنی هیچ شکی وجود ندارد.
There is no doubt.
هیچ شکی وجود ندارد.
There's no question.
هیچ پرسشی وجود ندارد.
Okay, now let's take a look at our second word, growth opportunity.
بیایید به این بخش نگاه کنیم.
Growth opportunity.
فرصت رشد و یادگیری مهارت‌های جدید.
It's a great growth opportunity.
این یک فرصت رشد عالی است.
So it's an excellent chance to improve, right?
پس یک فرصت عالی برای پیشرفت است، درست است؟
To improve professionally and also on a personal side, right?
برای پیشرفت حرفه‌ای و همچنین از جنبه شخصی، درست است؟
Yeah, so talking about growth opportunities, we can also use the phrase, a development opportunity.
بله، پس وقتی درباره growth opportunities صحبت می‌کنیم، می‌توانیم عبارت development opportunity را هم به کار ببریم.
And it's the same thing, to develop, to grow.
و همان معنی را دارد؛ توسعه یافتن، رشد کردن.
To improve yourself.
خودت را بهبود دادن.
Okay, now let's take a look at our third word, read up.
بیایید به این بخش نگاه کنیم.
Read up.
مطالعه کردن برای به‌روز شدن درباره یک موضوع.
Read up.
مطالعه کردن برای به‌روز شدن درباره یک موضوع.
Read up.
مطالعه کردن برای به‌روز شدن درباره یک موضوع.
So when you read up on something.
پس وقتی درباره چیزی read up می‌کنید.
Well, obviously you read it, right?
خب، واضح است که آن را می‌خوانید، درست است؟
But you're reading it specifically for some information so you can know more about the subject.
اما آن را مشخصاً برای به دست آوردن اطلاعاتی می‌خوانید تا درباره موضوع بیشتر بدانید.
So it's kind of similar to study, right?
پس تا حدی شبیه مطالعه کردن است، درست است؟
Kind of, but really with the idea that you're trying to improve your knowledge about a particular field.
تا حدی، اما واقعاً با این ایده که می‌خواهید دانش خود را درباره یک حوزه خاص افزایش دهید.
Okay, now for our fourth word, unleash potential.
باشه، حالا برای کلمه چهارم، unleash potential.
Unleash potential.
ظرفیت بالقوه را آزاد کردن.
Unleash potential.
ظرفیت بالقوه را آزاد کردن.
Unleash potential.
ظرفیت بالقوه را آزاد کردن.
Okay, so to unleash.
باشه، پس unleash.
All right, well, I'm gonna paint a picture for you.
خیلی خب، می‌خواهم برایت تصویرسازی کنم.
All right.
خیلی خب.
So imagine you have your dog, right?
فرض کن سگی داری، درست است؟
And your dog is walking on a leash, like it has a string or a rope attached to it.
و سگت با قلاده راه می‌رود، یعنی یک بند یا طناب به او وصل است.
So then when you undo the leash, you unleash the dog and then what happens?
بعد وقتی بند را باز می‌کنی، سگ را آزاد می‌کنی، و بعد چه اتفاقی می‌افتد؟
It goes around and it's running.
دور و بر می‌چرخد و می‌دود.
Yeah, yeah, it's going everywhere.
بله، بله، همه جا می‌رود.
So if you unleash potential, you release it and let it go and help it-- - Grow and become bigger.
پس اگر ظرفیت بالقوه را آزاد کنید، آن را رها می‌کنید و اجازه می‌دهید حرکت کند و کمک می‌کنید... رشد کند و بزرگ‌تر شود.
So you give it freedom.
پس به آن آزادی می‌دهید.
So potential is the capabilities or abilities that a person has, right?
پس potential یعنی قابلیت‌ها یا توانایی‌هایی که یک شخص دارد، درست است؟
To do something great.
برای انجام دادن کاری بزرگ.
Okay, unleash potential.
باشه، آزاد کردن ظرفیت بالقوه.
This I think is an excellent word to use in a job interview.
فکر می‌کنم این واژه‌ای عالی برای استفاده در مصاحبه شغلی است.
I think it is really descriptive and really powerful.
فکر می‌کنم خیلی توصیفی و قدرتمند است.
Yeah, it is.
بله، همین‌طور است.
That's a good word.
کلمه خوبی است.
Okay, so let's take a look at our last one now.
بیایید به این بخش نگاه کنیم.
Resonate with.
Resonate with.
Resonate with.
همخوانی داشتن با.
Resonate with.
همخوانی داشتن با.
Resonate with.
همخوانی داشتن با.
So he mentioned this really resonated with me.
پس او گفت این واقعاً با من resonated.
So what does he mean by resonated?
پس منظورش از resonated چیست؟
I guess he means it connected to him, right?
فکر می‌کنم یعنی با او ارتباط برقرار کرد، درست است؟
It touched him.
روی او اثر گذاشت.
So he agrees with this idea or he feels that he can relate to it.
پس او با این ایده موافق است یا احساس می‌کند می‌تواند با آن ارتباط بگیرد.
Yeah, exactly.
بله، دقیقاً.
You know what?
می‌دانی چیست؟
I think this one needs a few examples to really show its meaning.
فکر می‌کنم این یکی به چند مثال نیاز دارد تا واقعاً معنی‌اش را نشان دهد.
Okay, let's listen.
حالا به دیالوگ گوش می‌دهیم.
Example one.
مثال یک.
The candidate's speech really resonated with the voters.
سخنرانی نامزد واقعاً با رأی‌دهندگان ارتباط برقرار کرد.
Example two.
مثال دو.
Their music doesn't really resonate with me.
موسیقی آن‌ها واقعاً با من ارتباط برقرار نمی‌کند.
Example three.
مثال سه.
Their commitment to fight global warming resonates with me.
تعهد آن‌ها برای مبارزه با گرمایش جهانی با من همخوانی دارد.
All right, so it's clear now to resonate with, right?
خیلی خب، پس حالا resonate with روشن است، درست است؟
Okay, so why don't we go and listen to our dialogue for the last time and then we'll come back and give you some great pointers about preparing for a job interview.
باشه، پس چرا نرویم و برای آخرین بار به گفت‌وگو گوش نکنیم و بعد برگردیم و چند نکته عالی درباره آمادگی برای مصاحبه شغلی به شما بدهیم؟
Okay, so let's go over everything one more time.
خب، بیایید یک بار دیگر همه چیز را مرور کنیم.
So let's see.
خب، بگذار ببینیم.
You did your research on the company, right?
درباره شرکت تحقیق کردی، درست است؟
And so why do you want to work with them?
پس چرا می‌خواهی با آن‌ها کار کنی؟
Well, as I said, they're the industry leaders.
خب، همان‌طور که گفتم، آن‌ها رهبران صنعت هستند.
They have a really great growth strategy, amazing development opportunities for employees.
آن‌ها راهبرد رشد واقعاً خوبی دارند و فرصت‌های توسعه فوق‌العاده‌ای برای کارکنان فراهم می‌کنند.
And it seems like they have a strong corporate governance.
و به نظر می‌رسد حاکمیت شرکتی قوی‌ای دارند.
They're all about helping companies grow and unleashing potential.
تمام تمرکزشان کمک به رشد شرکت‌ها و آزاد کردن ظرفیت‌های بالقوه است.
I guess their core values and mission really resonated with me.
فکر می‌کنم ارزش‌های اصلی و مأموریتشان واقعاً با من همخوانی داشت.
Oh, and they offer six weeks vacation, stock options and bonuses.
اوه، و شش هفته مرخصی، اختیار خرید سهام و پاداش هم می‌دهند.
I'm totally going to cash in on that.
قطعاً از این‌ها نهایت استفاده را می‌کنم.
You idiot.
احمق.
You don't say that.
این را نمی‌گویی.
Do you want this job or not?
این شغل را می‌خواهی یا نه؟
Okay, so preparing for a job interview is really important, right?
باشه، پس آماده شدن برای مصاحبه شغلی واقعاً مهم است، درست است؟
Yes, yeah.
بله، بله.
And we're going to give you some really basic tips about how you can prepare for a job interview.
و قرار است چند نکته خیلی پایه درباره اینکه چطور می‌توانید برای مصاحبه شغلی آماده شوید به شما بدهیم.
Yeah, I got to confess something to you, Marco.
بله، مارکو، باید چیزی را به تو اعتراف کنم.
What?
چی؟
I love job interviews.
من عاشق مصاحبه‌های شغلی هستم.
Really?
واقعاً؟
Yeah, I know it's really weird.
بله، می‌دانم واقعاً عجیب است.
Most people hate them, but I love them.
بیشتر مردم از آن‌ها متنفرند، اما من دوستشان دارم.
So you love being the interviewer or going to job interviews?
پس عاشق مصاحبه‌گر بودن هستی یا رفتن به مصاحبه‌های شغلی؟
Both.
هر دو.
Really?
واقعاً؟
Yeah, I like everything about them.
بله، همه چیزشان را دوست دارم.
So I feel like I have a lot of passion to share with you about this.
پس احساس می‌کنم شور و اشتیاق زیادی دارم که درباره این موضوع با شما به اشتراک بگذارم.
All right, so let's take a look at the first point or the first tip that you can help us out with.
بیایید به این بخش نگاه کنیم.
So before you go to a job interview, you should do a little bit of research, right?
پس قبل از رفتن به مصاحبه شغلی، باید کمی تحقیق کنید، درست است؟
Right, and that's our first point.
درست است، و این اولین نکته ماست.
It's really important to know as much as you can about the company, their history, their product, their management style, just as much information as you can find out about how they work and what they do.
خیلی مهم است که تا حد امکان درباره شرکت، تاریخچه‌اش، محصولش، سبک مدیریتش، و هر چقدر اطلاعات که می‌توانید درباره نحوه کار و کاری که انجام می‌دهند پیدا کنید.
And why do you think this is important?
و فکر می‌کنی چرا این مهم است؟
Well, basically, you'll be asked about it in the interview.
خب، اساساً در مصاحبه درباره آن از شما پرسیده می‌شود.
Right.
درست است.
So if you show that you haven't prepared, you haven't done any research, you show that you don't care.
پس اگر نشان بدهید آماده نشده‌اید و هیچ تحقیقی نکرده‌اید، نشان می‌دهید که برایتان مهم نیست.
One of the best ways that you can impress in a job interview is to show that you know about the company.
یکی از بهترین راه‌ها برای تأثیر گذاشتن در مصاحبه شغلی این است که نشان دهید درباره شرکت می‌دانید.
Important things like you know what kind of products they offer or what's their largest market.
چیزهای مهمی مثل اینکه بدانید چه نوع محصولاتی ارائه می‌دهند یا بزرگ‌ترین بازارشان چیست.
And I guess that really impresses the interviewer because it shows that you are interested in this company and they really want the job.
و فکر می‌کنم این واقعاً مصاحبه‌کننده را تحت تأثیر قرار می‌دهد، چون نشان می‌دهد به این شرکت علاقه‌مندید و واقعاً این شغل را می‌خواهید.
And that you are willing to do the extra work it takes to prepare yourself.
و اینکه مایلید کار اضافی لازم برای آماده کردن خودتان را انجام دهید.
'Cause I think that will show the interviewer that later on when you're working for them, you'll do that extra work on the job.
چون فکر می‌کنم این به مصاحبه‌کننده نشان می‌دهد که بعدها وقتی برایشان کار می‌کنید، همان کار اضافی را در شغل انجام خواهید داد.
Exactly, that's a really good point.
دقیقاً، نکته خیلی خوبی است.
So that's our first point, our first tip, to do some research.
پس این اولین نکته ماست، اولین توصیه ما: کمی تحقیق کنید.
Yes.
بله.
Now you've done your research, you know everything about the company, what else should you do?
حالا تحقیق کرده‌اید، همه چیز را درباره شرکت می‌دانید؛ دیگر چه باید بکنید؟
Once you've read up on the company, you've gotta spend some time thinking about yourself.
وقتی درباره شرکت مطالعه کرده‌اید، باید کمی وقت بگذارید و درباره خودتان فکر کنید.
You've gotta prepare to sell yourself to the company.
باید آماده شوید تا خودتان را به شرکت بفروشید.
So to sell yourself to really demonstrate them why you are the perfect person for the job.
پس خودتان را فروختن یعنی واقعاً به آن‌ها نشان دهید چرا فرد کاملی برای این شغل هستید.
Right, because a lot of people think about why they want to work for the company, right?
درست است، چون خیلی‌ها به این فکر می‌کنند که چرا می‌خواهند برای شرکت کار کنند، درست است؟
Because they feel like they're aligned with the core values or the message of the company resonates with them.
چون احساس می‌کنند با ارزش‌های اصلی شرکت همسو هستند یا پیام شرکت با آن‌ها همخوانی دارد.
But what the interviewer really wants to hear is how you, the interviewee, is going to benefit the company.
اما چیزی که مصاحبه‌کننده واقعاً می‌خواهد بشنود این است که شما، یعنی مصاحبه‌شونده، چه نفعی برای شرکت خواهید داشت.
What are you gonna bring to the company?
چه چیزی برای شرکت می‌آوری؟
Right, and this is the most important part is to know what are your skills, right?
درست است، و مهم‌ترین بخش این است که بدانید مهارت‌هایتان چیست، درست است؟
And it's not enough to just say, well, I am a great leader, right?
و کافی نیست فقط بگویید خب، من رهبر فوق‌العاده‌ای هستم، درست است؟
So if you are a great leader, you should be ready to give an example of how you have demonstrated to be a great leader, right?
پس اگر رهبر فوق‌العاده‌ای هستید، باید آماده باشید مثالی بدهید که چطور نشان داده‌اید رهبر فوق‌العاده‌ای هستید، درست است؟
Yes, all right, so maybe like an example, like I'm a really strong leader because in my previous job, I had the best JD Power ratings for employee satisfaction.
بله، خیلی خب، مثلاً: من رهبر خیلی قوی‌ای هستم چون در شغل قبلی‌ام بهترین امتیازهای JD Power را برای رضایت کارکنان داشتم.
Okay, so you're actually showing with numbers or with facts that you are a great leader.
باشه، پس در واقع با عددها یا واقعیت‌ها نشان می‌دهی که رهبر فوق‌العاده‌ای هستی.
Yeah, so the key thing here, I think, is identify what your strengths and skills are.
بله، پس نکته کلیدی اینجا، فکر می‌کنم، این است که نقاط قوت و مهارت‌هایت را شناسایی کنی.
Think of specific examples.
به مثال‌های مشخص فکر کن.
If you can, give numbers and show how you can bring this skill and your experiences to the new company.
اگر می‌توانی، عدد بده و نشان بده چطور می‌توانی این مهارت و تجربه‌هایت را به شرکت جدید بیاوری.
And now, well, you're ready to sell yourself, you've done your research.
و حالا، خب، آماده‌ای خودت را عرضه کنی، تحقیق خودت را انجام داده‌ای.
Now, you have all of these things in your mind, you have to practice, right?
حالا همه این چیزها را در ذهنت داری، باید تمرین کنی، درست است؟
A much overlooked stage in the preparation.
مرحله‌ای در آمادگی که خیلی نادیده گرفته می‌شود.
Yeah, a lot of people think it through, they write things down, but don't really practice.
بله، خیلی‌ها به آن فکر می‌کنند و چیزهایی می‌نویسند، اما واقعاً تمرین نمی‌کنند.
Yeah, so I know you have a few tips about how you can practice interviewing effectively.
بله، می‌دانم چند نکته درباره اینکه چطور می‌توانی مصاحبه را مؤثر تمرین کنی داری.
Okay, well, the first thing that you should do is use your friends, right?
باشه، خب، اولین کاری که باید انجام بدهی این است که از دوستانت استفاده کنی، درست است؟
Yeah, they gotta be good for something.
بله، بالاخره باید به درد چیزی بخورند.
Exactly, and well, probably your friends are also working at a company, maybe they're managers or maybe they've interviewed someone before already, so you can set up a mini interview and have them pretend that they are the interviewer and ask you these questions and you're trying to answer seriously and I'm sure that your friends can give you some great feedback, maybe what you did right, maybe what you did wrong, so that's a really good way.
And another thing is also you can record yourself, right?
و یک چیز دیگر هم این است که می‌توانی خودت را ضبط کنی، درست است؟
Yeah, if you have a video camera or even a web, I mean, many people have a webcam right in your laptop, record yourself actually doing the practice interview with your friends.
بله، اگر دوربین ویدئویی داری یا حتی وب‌کم، یعنی خیلی‌ها درست در لپ‌تاپشان وب‌کم دارند، خودت را هنگام انجام مصاحبه تمرینی با دوستانت ضبط کن.
And this is really useful because you can later see what you recorded and detect some of the things that maybe aren't really useful or good.
و این واقعاً مفید است، چون بعداً می‌توانی چیزی را که ضبط کرده‌ای ببینی و بعضی چیزهایی را که شاید واقعاً مفید یا خوب نیستند تشخیص بدهی.
For example, posture is a really important aspect.
مثلاً حالت بدن جنبه واقعاً مهمی است.
So what do you mean posture?
منظورت از حالت بدن چیست؟
So the way that you are sitting down in your seat, and how you are expressing yourself with your hands, some people, they move a lot during the interview because of course you're nervous, so maybe they're moving from side to side or playing with their feet or playing with something on the table or moving their hands in an awkward way.
یعنی شیوه‌ای که روی صندلی نشسته‌ای و اینکه چطور با دست‌هایت خودت را بیان می‌کنی؛ بعضی‌ها در مصاحبه زیاد حرکت می‌کنند چون البته عصبی هستند، پس شاید از این طرف به آن طرف تکان بخورند یا با پاهایشان بازی کنند یا با چیزی روی میز بازی کنند یا دست‌هایشان را به شکل ناخوشایندی تکان دهند.
So those are the things that you have to watch out for.
پس این‌ها چیزهایی هستند که باید مراقبشان باشی.
Yes, so I guess it's really important to sit up straight and to show that you are powerful and in control.
بله، پس فکر می‌کنم خیلی مهم است صاف بنشینی و نشان بدهی قدرتمند و مسلط هستی.
And another really great thing is eye contact, right?
و یک چیز عالی دیگر تماس چشمی است، درست است؟
Yeah, yeah, we were talking about this earlier.
بله، بله، قبلاً درباره این صحبت می‌کردیم.
And why is eye contact so important?
و چرا تماس چشمی این‌قدر مهم است؟
If an interviewee maintains eye contact with me for most of the interview, I feel like they have really good people skills.
اگر مصاحبه‌شونده در بیشتر زمان مصاحبه با من تماس چشمی داشته باشد، احساس می‌کنم مهارت‌های ارتباطی خیلی خوبی دارد.
In my opinion, I would say they have a lot of self-confidence.
به نظر من می‌گویم اعتمادبه‌نفس زیادی دارد.
Yeah, I'd agree, yep.
بله، موافقم، بله.
Because if a person is looking down or not looking directly at you, it's either one of two things in my opinion.
چون اگر شخصی پایین را نگاه کند یا مستقیم به تو نگاه نکند، به نظر من یکی از دو حالت است.
Either they are not confident enough with themselves or they are lying to you.
یا به اندازه کافی به خودش اعتماد ندارد، یا دارد به تو دروغ می‌گوید.
Yes, or also they don't have good people skills, which is a problem in today's sort of knowledge-based economy.
بله، یا همچنین مهارت‌های ارتباطی خوبی ندارد، که در اقتصاد دانش‌محور امروزی مشکل است.
Exactly, so it's really important to maintain eye contact.
دقیقاً، پس حفظ تماس چشمی واقعاً مهم است.
And one other really important thing related to eye contact posture is the handshake.
و یک چیز خیلی مهم دیگر که به تماس چشمی و حالت بدن مربوط است، دست دادن است.
When you get to the interview, it's really, really important to give a firm, good handshake.
وقتی به مصاحبه می‌رسید، خیلی خیلی مهم است که محکم و خوب دست بدهید.
So what qualifies as a firm, good handshake?
پس چه چیزی یک دست دادن محکم و خوب محسوب می‌شود؟
Well, you don't have to prove that you are ultra strong, right?
خب، لازم نیست ثابت کنی فوق‌العاده قوی هستی، درست است؟
So you don't have to squeeze the other person's hand really hard.
پس لازم نیست دست طرف مقابل را خیلی محکم فشار بدهی.
And like break their hand.
و مثلاً دستش را بشکنی.
Exactly, it's not like a strength contest.
دقیقاً، مثل مسابقه قدرت نیست.
No.
نه.
A good firm handshake is squeezing normally, not too tight, not too loose, but your entire palm, your entire hand has to be in contact with the other person's palm or hand.
یک دست دادن خوب و محکم یعنی معمولی فشار بدهی، نه خیلی محکم و نه خیلی شل، اما کل کف دستت، کل دستت باید با کف دست یا دست طرف مقابل تماس داشته باشد.
Yes.
بله.
Don't give them the fingers, you know, like some people give you only four fingers or half their hand.
فقط انگشت‌هایت را به آن‌ها نده؛ می‌دانی، بعضی‌ها فقط چهار انگشت یا نصف دستشان را می‌دهند.
Yeah, I hate that.
بله، از آن متنفرم.
I hate it too.
من هم از آن متنفرم.
And this goes for men and for women because a lot of women do this.
و این هم برای مردان صدق می‌کند و هم برای زنان، چون خیلی از زنان این کار را می‌کنند.
Yep, I call this the dead fish handshake.
بله، من به این می‌گویم دست دادن ماهی مرده.
The dead fish.
ماهی مرده.
It is kind of like a dead fish or the dead hand handshake.
یک جورهایی مثل ماهی مرده یا دست دادن با دست مرده است.
Yeah, I absolutely agree with you on this one.
بله، در این مورد کاملاً با تو موافقم.
So nice firm handshake.
پس یک دست دادن خوب و محکم.
Yep, firm handshake.
بله، دست دادن محکم.
